2007 MadFish Riesling Reviews

Nice obvious sherbety characters on the nose, with a squirt of citrus juice. The refreshing palate is a delicate concoction of green apples and green limes.

A consistent winning label. Since being introduced a few years ago, here is yet another feather in the cap. Tight, lean yet intensely flavoured with a sustained penetrating acid. Love the little twist of lemon on the finish.

This is a fuller, richer style of Riesling with floral, aromatic aromas and flavours. ...has loads of flavour and may surprise in its ability to age well. Will be great over the summer months.

From the esteemed Howard Park stable, this riesling comes from vineyards in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. It opens with smoky, minerally aromas and zippy lime and tropical fruit. The palate shows more concentration than most of the region's rieslings with intense, tangy flavour and a persistent, zesty finish. Drink over four years.

The MadFish Riesling 2007 offers impressive citrus aromas and characters with the appealing florals for which the variety is renowned. A wine that provides plenty of potential to marry with a broader span of cuisine than most of its peers, this aromatic white will age into something much more complex over several years.
