Tropical semillon-based fig and avocado, plus grassy, fresh dill-flavoured sauvignon. Fresh, almost spritzy feel with crisp acidity. Cold cucumber, celery and salmon appetizers.

MadFish Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is a delicious wine with fresh, vibrant flavours. The nose is full of aromatic passionfruit and fresh pineapple aromas. The palate has melon and tropical flavours, with good roundness and weight. It has gorgeous, mouth-watering acidity that heightens the flavour of the wine. It is a very good drink and will have wide appeal. It is a well-priced option for smart casual dining.

This wine from Howard Park?s second label received uniform support from the panel. Bulleid liked its beautiful fragrance and balance, and its lemony, grassy, tropical fruit flavours; Otton its fresh concentration of flavour. Bourne, meanwhile saw the wine?s sweet-and-sour lemon characters as positive, especially in light of its weight.

As fresh as they come from Western Australia, this blend has screwcap-fresh, zesty lemon-lime grapefruit flavours with lovely acidity. Clean, bracing, flavoursome, it?s great with oysters or white fish with lemon.

MadFish has been a huge success as a second label for prestigious WA winery Howard Park. Within an excellent range at realistic prices is this dangerously drinkable white blend with its abundant array of tropical fruits and neatly balanced acidity.

MadFish Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2004 is a fresh and totally fruit-driven blend of varieties. There?s an intensity in here delivered with precision and focus to a long sustained finish. The mouth filling flavours have a zippy zestiness. Excellent drinking.
