Nat Burch
Administration & Product Manager
Nat is the eldest daughter of Howard Park owners Jeff & Amy Burch and continues the 2nd generation of passion and commitment to this family-owned and operated company. Nat had always planned to join Howard Park but, she was never sure in what capacity she would fit in. She started in the opposite direction at university where she got a degree in History and English while studying in Boston, Sydney and Perth. Living in both Sydney and Boston was a great experience for Nat and it took her completely out of her comfort zone and literally into new worlds. It also also gave her the opportunity to appreciate Western Australia more when she returned.
Nat ended up with a teaching degree and got a job teaching in the Margaret River Senior High School, near the Margaret River winery. Nat found the teaching profession a great experience in which you had to think on your feet and be extremely organized, all while loving the company of her fantastic students. Unbeknown to Nat at the time, she had actually become a 3rd generation teacher, with both her mother (Amy) and Grandmother also teachers in their heyday.
Not long after her stint at teaching, Nat joined Howard Park’s Margaret River winery. Currently, she takes care of a range of areas including export, bottling, administration, stock and product control. She believes that every day has its challenges which positively allow you get to know the miniscule detail of how everything works.
When not at work, Nat spends her time walking around the vineyard or swimming in the dam with her dog, Hamish, a West Highland Terrier. Nat also has a passion for media, in particular, words, books and films. Her current focus is a love for Indian culture and Bollywood movies. Salaam Namaste.
