David W Burch

David W Burch is the son of Jeff and Amy Burch and continues the commitment to this family-owned and operated Winery. As a child David accompanied his father on Business trips to Asia, and first started working in his Dads packaging business at the age of 11. In 1996 he was involved in the planting of the family’s first vines on their property at Margaret River; and the same year completed his first vintage helping make wine for Howard Park & MadFish at their Denmark winery. He has had varied exposure in the wine industry having experience working in multiple areas of the business throughout the years from working in the winery, vineyards and dispatch, regional sales, and helping in setting up the online side of the business.

A diploma in technology, and a graduate in International Business, Philosophy and several years working in the technology industry have given David a unique perspective on Howard Park & MadFish Wines and its larger role in the world, David has a keen interest in sustainable viticultural practices and has a real drive for making quality wines available to the general public. When not working at Howard Park, David spends time continuing ongoing studies in science.
