David Burch
Leston Vineyard Manager

David Burch is the Leston Vineyard Manager and home to the Margaret River cellar door and winery of MadFish Wines. David is particular by passion, whether it’s the Leston vineyard, reading the oceans to surf, fish or dive, preparing a seafood barbeque, talking about his wife Bronwyn and their three children or reminiscing about his 16 years as one of the stars of the Australian Ballet Company, everything David turns his hand to is done with immense consideration and perfection.

Take a stroll through Margaret River ‘Leston’ Vineyard and you’ll witness his meticulous vine husbandry and eye for design. David with Jeff and Amy has been responsible for landscaping and planting the trees within the vineyard which leaves a truly lasting impression for each visitor to the home of MadFish. His former work with the nation’s most prestigious dance company has no doubt strongly influenced his approach to design and creative vision for the vineyard and estate. David regards the vineyard as a 360-acre canvas and admits he “cant help get whipped up in the euphoria of the property’s development”.

With excellence a habit of David’s, the development of the Leston Vineyard vineyard is in very good hands.
